Why Can't You Drive After A Colonoscopy?

My dad has a colonoscopy scheduled for Jan 31st 2017 and he said he needed me to drive him there?

He said I needed to be present when he signs in to prove he has a driver?

I'm gonna drive him there and back that's no problem. I love my dad and would do anything for him.

But just curious why won't they let him drive after having a Colonoscopy?

Yes you must be there with him to prove he has a driver to drive him home.

The reason for needing a driver is your dad will be under sedation and it can take up to 24 hours to wear completely off.
