What thickness OSB should be used for roofing?

If you're using OSB for roof sheathing then you should use a minimum thickness of 7/16 -inch OSB for the roof.

You can use thicker if you'd like to however the 7/16 inch OSB is thick enough and any thicker will be heavier to put up onto the roof.
