Katy Perry went to space on a Blue Origin flight and was part of an all female crew which launched on Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket on April 14th, 2025.
The flight to space that Katy Perry went on lasted only around 11 minutes and reached a height of over 60 miles above Earth and crossed the Karman line, which is the internationally recognized boundary of space.

Blue Origin's New Shepard program does take passengers to space, specifically above the Kármán Line, which is the internationally recognized boundary of space.
The New Shepard capsule reaches an altitude of 62 miles (100 kilometers) above Earth's surface.
The flights are suborbital, meaning the capsule does not achieve orbit, but passengers experience a few minutes of weightlessness during the 11-minute journey.
Katy Perry did not officially call herself an astronaut after her space flight with Blue Origin.
While she participated in a suborbital space flight, the Federal Aviation Administration does not designate space tourists as astronauts.
