Ropinirole is a high risk drug and can increase your risk for skin cancer, such as melanoma.

Ropinirole can also cause uncontrollable twitching or twisting motions, feeling of anxiousness or nervousness, feeling or being sick, vomiting or nausea, heartburn, stomach pain, feeling tired and weak and feeling dizzy when you get up from sitting or laying down.

The drug ropinirole also known as requip treats symptoms of restless leg syndrome as well as treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease, such as stiffness, muscle spasms, tremors and poor muscle control.

The drug requip is a non ergoline dopamine agonist and works by mimicking the activity of a chemical called dopamine in the body, which helps with the symptoms of restless leg syndrome and Parkinson's disease.

Basically requip also known as ropinirole works by acting in place of dopamine, which is a natural substance that is needed to control movement.

Side effects of requip also known as ropinirole are feeling dizzy when you get up from lying down or standing, feeling weak and tired, stomach pain, heartburn, feeling or being sick and nausea and or vomiting, feeling anxious or nervous and uncontrollable twitching or twisting movements.

When taking requip or ropinirole for restless leg syndrome you should take requip at night just before you go to bed.

If you're taking standard tablets you can take requip or ropinirole with food or without food.

Although if you take requip with food, you're less likely to feel sick.

Requip also known as ropinirole can make you sleepy and sometimes suddenly without warning.

So you should not drive or operate machinery or do any other activities which require alertness or coordination until you know how the requip or ropinirole affects you.
