You can bury yourself on your own property in Florida, as there's not state law prohibiting burial of family or yourself on property you own.

Although there are zoning laws, deed restrictions and county and city rules that you have to follow.

You also will likely need a burial transit permit and sometimes a licensed funeral director or official handling of the body.

And there is also potential rules about private cemeteries under 2 acres and not for profit.

So if your area allows it, when you die, you can have family transport you to your private burial spot on your property, like on your rural property and bury you after obtaining a permit.

The most crucial step though is contacting your city/county clerk to understand any specific zoning on land use rules for private burials.

You'll also need a burial transit permit from the state.

But like mentioned before, there's no state law in Florida that prohibits the burying of a family member on your private property.
