A binging disorder is also known as a binge eating disorder that results in a person engaging in frequent and recurrent binge eating episodes with associated negative psychological and social problems, although without the compensatory behaviors that are common to bulimia nervosa, OSFED, or even the binge purge subtype of anorexia nervosa.

The symptoms of a binge eating disorder include.

Eating more quickly than usual during the binge eating episodes.

Eating until you feel uncomfortably full.

Eating large amounts of food even when you're not hungry.

Eating alone because you're embarrassed about the amount of food that you eat.

And feeling disgusted, depressed or even guilty after overeating.

When you binge eat, the overeating forces your stomach to expand far beyond it's normal size.

And as a result of the stomach expanding far beyond it's normal size due to overeating, it crowds the organs around the stomach, making you feel uncomfortable and your clothing can also feel tight.

Overeating during binge eating can also make you feel drowsy, sluggish and tired.

Many people that have a binge eating disorder feel negatively about themselves and their skills and accomplishments.

Triggers for binge eating include poor body self image, stress and certain foods.

And even certain situations can trigger binge eating, such as being at a party, having down time or even being stressed or driving in your car.

Therapy can help with binge eating disorders and also staying away from dieting and eating regularly, planning ahead for triggering situations, getting the proper nutrients in your diet and getting active can help to cure a binge eating disorder.

Trying to diet with a binge eating disorder can result in a vicious cycle that's hard to break.
