Kagurazaka in Japanese means "slope of the god's music"
Kagurazaka or slope of the god's music in Japanese refers to the sound of Shinto ritual music and dance "kagura" which was once heard from shrines on the hill.
The name Kagurazaka, comes from the area being a slope in which the sacred ceremonies were performed.
And today, Kagurazaka a neighborhood in Tokyo Japan and is known for it's blend of modern style as well as traditional charm and is also often called "little Paris" for it's French influence.
Kagura refers to the traditional music and dance that was performed to entertain the gods at Shinto shrines.
And the word Zaka in Japanese means "slop" or "hill".
