Snake Plants are mostly slow growing plants so they will take awhile to reach full height once you plant them.
However snake plants will grow a little faster when you give them more sunlight but they're still pretty slow growing plants.
Still snake plants are wonderful plants to have either indoors or outdoors and help to purify the air indoors.
You can start snake plants out in small pot but as they grow you need to transplant the snake plant to a larger pot to support the plant.
I would just start it out in a larger pot to avoid having to transplant it to a larger pot when it grows.
