Are bedwetting alarms safe to use on a child?

My 8 year old son wets the bed and I was thinking about getting him a bed wetting alarm to help wake him up when he starts to wet the bed.

But I'm wondering how safe are the bed wetting alarms?

Although bed wetting alarms do have electricity in them to work the electricity is not harmful and they're built safe to where your child won't get a shock from the electricity and if they did the electricity is not that much and you probably wouldn't even feel a tingle from it.

Or if you did it would be like sticking your tongue to a 9 volt battery. lol
