Yes Luvs diapers do have a powdery scent to them. If you're not prepared when you open the package of Luvs diapers you might gag from the intense powdery scent aroma. lol
I don't think it's harmful and my nephew hasn't had any problems wearing the Luvs diapers and the intense smell eventually goes away.
It's just when you open the bag or box and get that whiff from the freshly packaged Luvs diapers.
