People do eat giraffe meat.

Giraffe meat is eaten in some parts of Africa and most particularly where the giraffe is harvested for "bush meat".

Although giraffes are not as widely eaten as other animals, the giraffe meat can also be found in some restaurants, including some restaurants in the United States.

Giraffe meat is often described in taste as having a sweet taste and also being tender when it's cooked and prepared rare.

Giraffe meat is a source of protein in some African regions and is often sold in local markets as well as roadside stands.

And some restaurants like Carnivore in South Africa as well as Panache in Vermont, have also served giraffe meat.

Giraffes are also sometimes hunted for their meat and one game warden in Kenya noted that a giraffe can yield as much meat as 4 elands.

As long as the giraffe has been properly slaughtered, cooked and is not obtained through any illegal means you can eat giraffe meat.
