Waffle mix should always be thicker than pancake mix and not thinner.

Waffle mix needs to be thicker than pancake mix because of the higher fat and sugar content in waffle mix creates a richer and more cake like batter which holds it's shape in a waffle iron, which results in a much crispier exterior and tender interior.

Pancake batter on the other hand is thinner and runnier so it allows it to spread in the pan.

When making waffle mix you can put either water or milk in waffle mix.

However if you want richer and better tasting waffles you should put milk in the waffle mix instead of water.

When making 1 batch of waffles you need 1 cup of milk for every 1 cup of pancakes or 1 cup of water for every 1 cup of pancakes.

You also need a couple of large eggs to help the waffles have a nice perfect fluffy interior.

I prefer using milk in my waffles as it makes the waffles much more enjoyable.

However even water can make waffles okay if you don't have milk or are allergic to milk.

Canned milk can also be used in waffle mix but whole jug milk is best for waffle mix.

To make waffle mix you add either some water or milk, eggs and oil.

For making waffles from scratch the waffle batter needs some flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, eggs, milk, butter and vanilla.

You can also customize the waffles with some berries or chocolate chips or add some spices such as nutmeg or cinnamon for added flavors.

To make waffle mix add either water or milk, 1 egg and some vegetable oil or melted butter and mix either by hand or by using a mixer.

To make the waffle mix from scratch use all purpose flour, baking powder, sugar and salt, eggs, milk melted butter or oil and vanilla extract and mix the batter only until the ingredients are just combined and avoid over mixing it as it can make the waffles chewy.

Then preheat your waffle iron and ensure it's hot before you start which helps create fluffy and crispy waffles.

Then pour in the waffle mix and close the lid and allow to cook for a few minutes and check the waffles to ensure they are not burning.
