Does my cat have social anxiety?

My cat doesn't like being around anyone else except me and my parents.

When people he doesn't really know come over he runs and hides.

It's possible your cat could have social anxiety. Or he just doesn't want to be around the people he doesn't know and is unfamiliar with.
