Eating of dog meat is also a culturally sensitive issue that has a long history in some countries.
Although practices and also legal frameworks are also changing, most particularly in South Korea, which also has a ban on the dog meat trade that is coming soon.
And while China is a country that eats the most dogs and dog meat, the consumption of dog meat in China is also declining, especially in urban areas of China, and bans on sales and consumption of dog meat have also recently been implemented in major cities of China including Zhuhai and Shenzhen.
